Campsite Near Thorpe Park

Can anyone recommend a good campsite near Thorpe Park?

We are looking to go sometime in August. We are looking at taking our 15 year old daughter and a couple of pals, so a campsite with swimming pool and club (night entertainment) would be great.

The campsite has to be clean with clean shower facilities etc.

When I say near Thorpe Park, I would probably be willing to drive an hour-hour and half to get there if the right campsite was available, but closer the better, as we will also probably have a trip to London at the same time.

Can recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

  • We recently stayed at Amerden campsite, in Maidenhead, good location for both London and Thorpe Park....doesn't have any entertainment but would be a good base. £20 per night.

Cheers, I'll check that out, but really looking for one with entertainment, so anymore suggestions are welcome.

There are 2 campsite in the immediate vicinity of Thorpe Park, but neither have entertainment, Chertsey camping and caravan park and Laleham riverside campsite. Both are within 10mins drive of Thorpe Park.

However I don't know of any in the area that offer entertainment clubhouse etc, you do have Staines 5mins drive from either of these campsite with several restaurants and the cinema.

Thanks for this. I have seen these campsites on google.

Ideally enterainment for my daughter and her pals would be good, but if not then I will look at these sites.

Haven have a site right next to thorpe park....didnt use the camping facilities there as we had hired a caravan but it looked pretty good and the shower blocks didnt look very dirty or anything when we passed. The people that were camping looked alot happier than the people in the caravans if im totally honest.

if you book through the haven website you can get free funworks passes which includes entry into the entertainment and the swimming ect.

Wouldnt hire a caravan again as they were very well worn but i would go back and camp there.
