Confused: Argos Reservations...

I reserved 2 things @ argos for myself and it showed up online as being held till today at 5:30. I arrived at the store a little before that time, but they were already shut...
When I tried to reserve these items again, they're now out of stock, I'm assuming that argos kept these reserved items for me till 5:30 and someone reserved them before me despite the fact I tried to re reserved at 5:40, but someone could've been faster. or that they were ordered instore by someone else and sold.

I'd been quite annoyed if they were sold instore even though despite me reserving them ,though it is my fault for running late.

Which one is it more likely to be?

Or have argos not updated their systems yet to show these are still available? (I doubt this...

Are you sure? Don't want to keep my hopes up for them to be dashed... Sad as it sounds I was actually really excited about getting it

Can anyone confirm this as its just gone 8 and its still OOS

argos will hold them until the store shuts. then, they may not show up on the system until the next day. or if they were sent from the warehouse for you - they may not show up until someone logs them back in! keep trying! they wont have been sold hun. they are prob just in cyberspace until they get logged back in on the 'puter!
the only exception to that is if a product is recalled by the manufacturer!
