laptop restarting randomly

hi my pal has an hp g7000 laptop on windows 7 which keeps restarting randomly,no idea how long she had it am afraid,just wondered is it an easy fix? thats all details in txt i had from her
i came into the world with nothing,and guess what? i still have it!!!:p

Is it a legit copy of Windows?
Some non legit copies will restart quite often when using them.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
