Transfering Direct Debits?

I know when you open a new bank account they will often offer the option of automatically transfering all your direct debits from your old account to the new one. Does anyone know if Barclays offer this service at any time or just when you open the account?

Currently I have two accounts with different backs and I'm now thinking of using my Barclays one as my main account but I didn't want the fuss of having to contact all the various people to change my DD's.

Every bank has its own switching team, as they do this all the time. They will definitely more than happy if you ask them to do that for you.

Give them a call or visit their branches on Monday with the detail of your other Bank A/C and DD.
