I decided to switch my electricity supply to NPower from EDF and I have just received the introductory letter from NPower.

Npower say that my contract with them starts on 9/6/11 but it will take another 5 to 6 weeks to sort out. I am under contract with EDF until 30/6/11 and face a £25 Early Termination Fee if I change supplier before this date.

Will EDF class me as changing supplier on 9/6/11 or in 5 to 6 weeks time when the switch over is complete?

I am still in my cooling off period so can cancel if I've started this too soon.
