Raspberry problem

My summer fruiting raspberries are a lovely orange colour, another few weeks and I'd be eating them, but........
They're falling off just a light touch and they are on the ground.

I have kept them watered during the drought we've had, but they have had a lot of rain suddenly in the last 10 days, dont know if that could be the problem?
I've grown them for nearly 30 years and never had this problem before.
I LOVE THEM and it's the one thing I really look forward to eating.

Any idea what could be causing it and more to the point, can I do anything to stop them from dropping? The canes are healthy looking.

It would appear I have raspberry leaf beetle:mad:

After much rummaging around my canes I found some. I assume they came in on 2 dead looking autumn canes I was given earlier this year


I'm and organic gardener so have sprayed the little s*d with soapy water and removed and disposed of the all the loose berries I could find to stop the cycle but will be prepared next spring with traps and an organic pesticide.

Reminds self to be cautious in future before accepting freebies!
