I claim CTC/CB for my 17yo. Can she claim for her DD?

Have no answer for you sorry, but hope your daughter can see some light pretty soon and realise what a great Mum she has and just grow up and take some responsibility in her life.
    You sound like a saint.

You sound like a great mum. I'm sorry that your daughter isn't :(

What a tough position for you to be in. :( I can't offer any info, but just wanted to say what a great Mum/Grandma you are.

put any money by for baby bits if she can not get it.
Presumably you will be able to hand on the 0-2 year clothes/equipment you have been using thus far? That should help?

If she had made the first application for the grant I would say no she won't get it but as you did it she might well get away with it, all she can do is make the claim.

This must be really hard for you to deal with, I'm not judging but I don't see how the second child could go into care when you've taken care of the first child, it's really sad.

Sorry,no help with your actual question but have to say you sound like one special lady.It would be so very easy for you to denounce your daughter and walk away, she has certainly given you plenty of reason to but your still there for her.I only hope some day she realises just how good a mother she has.
While caring for her first child and trying to help her out again do think of your own health in this case as it would be so easy in taking on all this responsibility to run yourself into the ground.I wish you the very best of luck, you certainly deserve it.
  • My issue is I already have 4 of my own at home. Plus my grandson. I cannot take on another baby! I'm single myself and am finding it hard to fit around the small job I have with the demands of a huge family. It is difficult - my DD has already announced she is naming the baby after me, and I am smiling a fake smile and holding back the tears because I know where this is all going to end. My other issue is, where would it end? If I took on baby No2, what happens when No3 gets here?

I needed to ask about the grant just for my own peace of mind, but I won't know if she'll be able to get it then until she applies for it. Thanks anyway!

Can you encourage her to have the depo jab or get an implant/coil fitted?

Been there, done that. She's had "three" implants that have "snapped".

    She is a liar too.

:O isn't she just! They don't snap and if they did they'd still work, lol!
