Hello to all you lovely people.
It would appear I have recently recieved the kick up the backside required to get my finances in order.
First I started a wonderful new job, then a few days later fraud squad called to say my bank account was subject to fraudulent activity but they had caught it and the money was being refunded *phew*
So this is my fresh start, I've opened an ISA and filled it and from now on I'm cutting right back on spending to see how much I can save. Main aim is a house/mortgage so will need to set out some aims and whatnot.
Will update this as I go, probably post again in morning cos right now its 1.27am, Bedtime fo' sure!
Cheers.

Good Morning,
So I got a very welcome letter in the post today, informing me I am due a £200+ tax refund :-)
That'll go nicely in the bank with the £158 cheque from the local council.
I have filled my ISA, so what's the best thing to do with my newfound savings?
Is it possible to open a savings account with a decent interest rate, as good as an ISA?
Any advice muchos appreciado!0 -
Hurrah! My Employer has enrolled me in a health scheme, allowing me to claim back any health costs I incur.
First up, my £10 dentist check-up refunded :-)
Just have to go find the receipt now....0 -
Visit to bank today, quick glance at mini-statement shows £5 credit.
Asked cashier what it was, free money from bank!! WOOHOO!0
