I've thought about using ASDA because of the price, but my prescription is around -8, and I want my lenses as thin as possible. I also love rimless glasses which makes it all the more important to get thin lenses.
In the end I went back to my High Street Optician because they always give me great glasses although they are not cheap.
They listen to what is important to you, and if you want to know how thin the lens can go with a given lens shape, they will do the calculations so you can decide.
I particularly wanted 1.74 index, varifocals with transitions - only Nikon make them with transitions.
I love my new glasses. Maybe I would have got them cheaper at ASDA, but didn't want to risk it.0
