Sky HD+ box set up queries

I am considering taking up Sky on their offer of a free HD+ box and installation.
However, I do have some queries:
1. We only have the original very old sky box with one cable from the satellite dish. Will they need to put in another cable?
2. We are currently using a "magic eye" to watch Sky upstairs. Will we still be able to do so? I don't really want to go for multiroom.
3. At the moment we have a dvd recorder hooked up and synchronised to the old Sky box. Again, will it be possible to continue with this or will we be stuck with a redundant dvd recorder? Also if we can keep it connected to the new box, will we be able to record two programmes at once?
4. Will it be possible to have the box and not subscribe to the HD channels?
Looking forward to receiving some expert answers!:)
