co op cashminder account

Options
My son applied for the basic cashminder account this afternoon.

The application according to the lady who did it said it went through but did mention something needed to be checked but he should get it the pin sort code debit card within the next 5-7 days.

My son is a little impatient and called the co op helpline the person said it usually took 48 hrs to show on the system but he did ask for his name surname. the co op CS then said he couldn't go any further as there wasn't enough security questions on the account to go further. But he could see the application so.....

i have no experience through in brance applications i usually do all mine online and have hardly ever had problems.

silly question but do people think he's got it or is the reluctance of the co op CS to discuss it with him a sign he's been declind.

I have no idea what to suggest to him.

does he realistically think he'll have the card with 48 hrs?! with co op u get the details in the post and u have to go to the branch to give them ur ID, then they send out the card. their process is actually about 2 weeks. rather long, but then again co op is slow @ even breathing.

He took all the id passport proof of address ect this afternoon which the lady checked.
he says the lady went into the back and afew minutes later she returned saying it had gone through but additonal check would be done but he should get pin card sort code ect within the next 5-7 days.

I think when he phoned the 0845 number this evening the reluctance of the co op cs to discuss his application due to a lack of security questions has made him doubt he's got it.
