Buying an unregistered house

The house we're buying is not registered with the Land Registry (hasn't changed hands since 1960s). It is a probate sale by the executors of the previous owner. Title deeds are available for the deceased owner.
Does anyone have an idea of how much delay and extra cost we will incur because of this, compared to buying a registered property?
(I am assuming we will have to pay for first registration, rather than the executors sorting this out before the sale, though I might be wrong).

it will take no extra time whatsoever, and the legal cost will be no different.
only inexpereinced conveyancers bump their fees up when dealing with unregistered land, but us solicitors see no difference at all, so choose a conveyancing 'solicitor' and you'll be in great hands.
your land registry fee will be no different to registered land either.My posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:

I have bought couple of houses that hadn't changed hands for 50 years. I have never been aware of any difference or additional cost.
About 6 months after we bought one we had to agree boundary with a neighbour as he was selling after 100 years at least and had a map to complete for the land registry. We just drew lines on the map provided and returned it. I imagine our sellers had had to do the same.June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving
July challenge £50 a day. £ 1682.50/1550
October challenge £100 a day. £385/£31000 -

I suppose the Land Registry website likes to scaremonger people into voluntary registration of their properties... 0 -
