If £200 agency fees aren't a scam I don't know what is!
I know. £200 agency fees and you might get rejected on ref/credit checks..
But if it did guarantee me passing them then i dont mind offloading £200 just to get the one i really want!:)
I guess at the end of the day..you just need to be honest with your situation and hope for the best. Other than that i dont know what else you can do. Its all out of your hands really.
Surely the professional agents want to help you get it as possible as they will earn commission fees? right?:rotfl:0 -
Perhaps you could try sharing in a house share. And save up a deposit and buy your own ? Won't have to worry about parting with loads of dosh and losing it. (I.e paying for credit checks etc). Houses/flats in some parts of Manchester are next to nothing. (from what I have seen on homes under the hammer lol)0

Worse case you might have to wait till you start work. My OH was in the same situation a year or so ago and the agent would take a deposit but would not put through the credit reference checks until he had started his job as otherwise the check would fail, this was even with a signed contract that was shown to the agent and numerous phone calls to his manager who confirmed the job and start date.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0
