Rather than demand, I would contact them and request that the bank statement is returned - it may just be an error that it wasn't. I'm fairly sure that it should have been returned.

I don't think you should tick no, if your father is the one claiming income support then the form was meant for him to fill in. Do you get income support of your father gets it ?
If your father gets it you should tick 'yes' you rent from the council and at the back of the form there's a section saying who you've filled this form in for. Best thing I would do is give income support a call. That's what I did and they were so helpful with filling mine in, then you'll know for sure that you've had the right information. Hope you get it sorted

i'm a carer for my dad who is 74 so i get the income support with my care allowance and the form was for me it had on the letter my NI number.

sorry to jump in your thread, but in the nicest of ways, you've semi answered a question, I'm a lone parent and had previosuly done casual work, which was all above board, last yr I had to either send in all bank books, or get them copied (sent copies, got the job centre to photocopy and certify them), today I had a call asking for the same information, the gentleman apologised at the start of the call, as some questions may be personal, - are you pregnant, a partner etc, and all my accounts, and lack of money, I have a lovely overdraft, did I agree to what Id said.
He explained that rather send out letters and then search throu all the info, and its a new goverment incenitive. I did ask was is a benefit fraud, as I had previosly had an allegation made, which was completely slanderous, but as the complaints are anamous, I was put throu the ringers, and I was innnconet,
