Vets - Beeston, Nottingham

Can anyone recommend a good vet in Beeston, Nottingham; or surrounding areas if especially good?
I was with The Priory, Beeston with my old cats for 18yrs; but due to their crappy attitude over a mix-up in their accounts, which they tried to blame me for, I refuse to go back and need another vet.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Look for a vet under the RCVS PSS - means you can be sure that they have a set amount of equipment, ongoing training, protocals etc etc
Find a vet on RCVS website will tell you who is accredited
Obviously not a failsafe, but a good place to start. Ask around with friends and neighbours tooI don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

PS - there is a vet school at nottingham uni - not sure if they have a first opinion practice associated with them, but usually uni practices are very high standardI don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Our cat - that doesn't travel well - is at Dove in Stapleford, she seems to think the vet is Mr Awesome (even when he stuck a thermometer up her backside she didn't stop purring). Closest to us, so minimal time for a ball of feline vomit, wee and poo covered wrath to be created - she hates travelling in the car!
The dog - that absolutely ADORES being in the car and it's like The Best Thing Ever (until the next Best Thing Ever appears 2 minutes later) is at Scarsdale over in Derby on Kedelston Road - bit of a trek from this part of town (I'm near Bardills so not too far away from you) but he's been there ever since his neutering via the rescue we got him from and they've been good at advice over the phone and email, sorting out wormer/fleaer at the right dose ready to pick up and not too over the odds of what you'd pay online and the like and they seem very thorough with him. If the cat didn't travel as badly as she does I'd transfer her over there as well to be honest. Be a lot easier when they move over to Pride Park in the next few months as well!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Thanks dizziblonde,
Not sure Freddie Bear cat would purr with anything up his butt, but took a look at the site and it looks good. I like the privacy blinds.
I hope your little girl is well.0 -
Could always try Ashfield House on Derby, Bramcote. Just passed the sherwin. Always found them to be very helpful.. Especially when i forgot my wallet..
