[/QUOTE]
No, I dont have internet access at home, I'm just not at home at present.
I do get the use/access for an hour a day at the local library, which allows me 1 hour a day for job search etc....
Sorry about yer mum, i lost a sister a few weeks ago..........0 -

Whether or not the OP is a troll we should answer as if the person is real because there could be someone else that is experiencing those things.
OP, I presume you have been looking for other jobs, have you tried agency work etc.
Any obvious reason as to why you have had no work for two years?
And finally, the casino/employer did not ruin your life, You've managed 2 years after working for them so you have had plenty of opportunity to further yourself in education etc and they paid you a fee for a contract and your services were no longer required (whether they were profitable is irrelivant) and you didn't have any contingency plans in place. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

That's bad stuff....
Okays...you are over 50 - so one tiny thought is the fact that those who are over 50 are regarded as more "responsible" by insurance companies (well...that or we are just plain in more often deterring would-be thieves by our presence:cool:) so I think it would be worthwhile for you to hunt around again for your insurance provider on the basis of you now being in this "over 50" agegroup.
What about RIAS for instance? They arent the only one - but they are one of the specific insurance providers for this agegroup - so hopefully you will be able to save a little money there..

...and...yep...do come over to the "other Side" - ie Old Style Forum on MSE and there are all sorts of moneysaving ideas on there. Every little helps as they say..0 -

Well actually - the vast majority of us (yep...including me....) simply don't believe that Life would really stand up and belt us one in the face UNTIL IT ACTUALLY HAPPENS and we realise that "summat went wrong somewheres - and we got whacked too".
Voice of experience time here....:(
Once one actually HAS realised that even we can be/just have been "knocked for six" then (and only then - for most of us) do we realise that Life will "hit us too" if it comes to it and we need to plan accordingly......:(
For most of us - "you know you are immune personally - until you realise summat went wrong and you're not...."
Personally - if anyone can tell me just how to persuade The Universe that "Yep...I really AM Special" then I would be more than delighted to hear how to do this - because I suspect that most of us think/believe/know that we are and that therefore WE will be okay...0
