What are you claiming for in the money claim onlline claim?
I know you will win for the fact that the amount you are claiming is not worth the money for their solicitor to come to your place (claim will be transfered to your location as you are a individual).
NEVER up the claim to fast track it starts charging you.
Keep it in small claims as I believe your claim is worth that (less than £1000/£5000), and the other party solicitor cant get more then £80 if they want to fight it, no motivation for the other party solicitor to attend court.

Anyway you can claim £9.25 an hour under CPR 48.6 - limited to 2/3 of solicitor if he wants to get paid

Personally I would do the following,
Repair the place as you would repair it sooner or later. then use that as the actual cost and if you take time off work, or you have to do anything else e.g. hire a skip, it can be added to the claim.
Why estimate when you can get it done for the correct cost besides VAT has gone up since.
Take picture before and after.

PS. I do not agree with the repair less VAT as the repair done by you will be with VAT, or is it that a individual doesnt have to pay VAT- then why is my shopping got VAT on it?
some reason insurance do this and its annoying, however they will negotiate with the company to sort something out, and then pay it all inc VAT.
