If someone else is paying then its FINE :-)

It sounds like you've got your head screwed on (just about!). A social life was definitely a big contributor to be being in debt which is why I've *had* to get much better at saying no!

I have set up a separate email account and sign up to all the bar offers etc so I know I can do cheap nights out with friends. All bar one, for example, often have offers that are 3 starters and a bottle of wine for £15. If I was sensible, id split this but... well, at least we know we're just spending £15 each :-)

By the by, I DID win some itunes tickets (Paul Simon) so it *does* happen! Apply for everything- a free night out is worth trying new music!

Yeah I won last year (Scissor Sisters) I've applied for Linkin Park (on 2 email addresses), My Chemical Romance, Foo Fighters, Kasabian and Duran Duran.

I've just added up my gig and festival spend for gigs I've been to and are going to this is between May 2010 and November 2011 - 666.6!!! I think it's trying to tell me something... That is for 20 gigs and 1 festival. Although 1 of those gigs got postponed till next year, so technically it's May 2010 to June 2012! lol

I forgot another reason I'm in debt new glasses for £190 and olympic tickets (£156 worth between 3 of us, haven't got the money from them yet). I'm actually owed about £450 for tickets and other stuff, so this will go towards debt once paid.

I'm going a free day out tomorrow and Sunday - West End Live at Trafalgar Square, a preview of the musicals in London. Problem with that it might make me want to go to them! I can always ask for a ticket for Christmas present though lol.

Halifax is evil for giving me so much credit! (I have £1450 in 2 overdrafts not used) no wonder they had to get the government to bail them out if they lent this much money to people!

Ah, yes! West End Live! London's awesome really, isn't it?

I spent a stupid amount to see Wicked a couple of years ago but I have to say, I think the £15 tickets that lastminute do would still be fine. It was SO good that I reckon no matter how nose bleed the seats are, it's worth going.

My partner's birthday's tomorrow (hes working tonight) so am just flicking through the music channels. Not quite sure who 'Yasmin' is or what makes her an expert on 'inner city sounds' but pretty sure her top 20 is exactly the same as the normal top 20. Sigh.

Applied for Foos as well but that's me being greedy- seeing them day after Paul Simon at Milton Keynes (supported by Biffy who I LOVE; see them live if you haven't yet!) then Weezer on the Thursday after (with Take That inbetween- reliving my youth, unashamedly!).

Ah, supposed to be encouraging you to spend less!! I would say as long as you mostly stick with the unsigned scene in London, you'll be doing alright. Consider a signed band to be a treat and do it only every few (6?) months... Or something!

Seen Biffy supporting Muse last year. But they're playing at Sonisphere! So are Weezer.

I find that even signed bands can still be cheap £20 sometimes. I don't drink at gigs either. So it's that and the oyster travel there. I do watch some unsigned bands too. Been invited to a gig at Barfly for £6.

I've seen Wicked but preferred Spamalot and We Will Rock You (both times someone else paid for the ticket! Well the first time I saw them. Seen both of them twice! Cheaper seats 2nd time)

I want to see Rock of Ages, but may wait till nearer Xmas like I said, present please!

    "Clothing................................ £30"

You do not need this much clothing every month, unless you are currently naked! That's £360 a year. Get yourself a capsule wardrobe and then don't buy any more or buy second hand.

This is an average spend across the year. Some months I buy nothing, others I buy a lot more. I bought some Converses a few months back to last me, as regular canvas shoes fall to pieces within a matter of months! I managed to negotiate my 'leather' jacket down to £20 in Camden, I like Camden market as you never pay full price! My jeans tend to come from New Look for £10. My bras cost a lot unfortunately! (damn their size) And I need some new ones soon. I have actually cut back on clothes now my wardrobes bursting full. I don't have enough trouser coat hangers! I also am happy denim's back in fashion as I had an old denim jacket in the drawers from a few years back. Saved me from buying a new summer jacket :D (my old one looks really old now)

I'm selling some old clothes including my prom dress from when I was 16!!

ps. That capsule wardrobe - 4 pairs of shoes? I have about that, but some are heels and I'm not wearing heels anymore!

I get the DL thing, but still, you need to pay some of your debt, esp the 19.9 stuff. there is no reason you can't do both, esp as you are sitting on your proverbial a**, instead of getting the money for the Olympic tics off your mates. Get it now, you've paid it now.

You are not rich enough to give friends interst free credit. If they won't pay, sell the tics back tot eh committe- 66% of those who applied like you did got nothing and they want them.

So no festivals till next summer. Kick.

I think you're going to end up in a total mess, and have no interest in sorting your debt out.
