Hi - i brought an item off ebay, when it arrived it was obvious it was fake - I have a real one and it was totally different. When i checked on the sellers feedback a few others had similar experiences in the last few days. I contacted the seller who eventually told me to return it (to different address) which i did. I sent recorded delivery and checked that it had been received. The next day I requested my refund. The day after the seller replied that I had not returned the right item and they had taken it to the post office to have it opened and they took pictures???????? I know it was returned - what would I want with fake item. Im really annoyed as they have the item back and my money. I have opened a dispute with Ebay but no idea what will happen now?

Ebay is normally on the side of the seller so you'll probably get a refund....don't expect it to happen fast though."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

I hope so - just annoying because they think they have been clever and got item back and not had to refund.0

Have you put in the dispute that it was fake & that the seller asked you to return to a different address? That you also have proof that it was sent to the address requested by the seller? Is it showing as delivered on RM website?
The seller is obviously full of BS, I can't imagine what a post office would have to do with something being opened while being filmed, other than useful to give the staff a good laugh.Ebay is normally on the side of the seller so you'll probably get a refund....don't expect it to happen fast though.
I know that you meant buyer but this could make it all more confusing.0 -
Hi - yes all our 'conversations' have been within the dispute so all easy for Ebay to access. It is showing as delivered - not sure if they replaced the item and then took it to the post office or are just full of BS to make me back off. Im curious what the post office 'discovered' in there. All this was apparently in front of the counter assistant, postman and the sellers friend. Why would you need such a gathering? Im hoping Ebay will find it just as laughable!0

Sounds like he'll claim that he sent you a genuine article and you are sending a fake backOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

I would also put in the dispute that other buyers have reported receiving fakes in their feedback0

the only problem I notice is that you sent the item back to a diffrent address. If the details of this address were not given by ebay and are in a diffrent city it may be a issue, but hopefully ebay will review your case.
If the money is not given back to you, then you can call the resolution department, if that fails you can sue the person in the county court.0
