Item previously used in commercial setting?

I recently purchased a Kenwood Chef. I was aware how old it was so was not expecting it to be in perfect condition and it has the usual bangs and knocks.

I've just been checking it works OK and when I turned it over, there is a PAT testing sticker on the base. To me, this could imply it has been used in a commercial environment and may have received a lot more use/wear and tear than one used in a home kitchen.

I am not sure what, if anything, to do about this. Is this something that the seller should have declared in the auction?
Would people expect to pay a reduced amount for something that has previously been commercially used? Just asking for opinions really.

You bought it used, its used. Lack of use kills a device more than it being used as intended. I sell ex-corporation and ex-govt laptops. Some of them are 5 years old and look like they've just been taken out of the box. Others are well worn. As long as it works and matches the description, does it really matter?

Would you rather have one that was used properly in a commercial kitchen or abused by an ignorant home user?

It could have been bought from an auction, or charity shop at some time, as they would also PAT test it.
I'm not sure whether I would expect it to have been declared if used commercially.

Yes, you are both right. I just needed a reality check.

I got it cheaper than a lot have been going for after missing out on loads where the price went too high for me. As a standalone product, I'm happy to have it for the price I paid and at least I know it was in good electrical order when it was tested!
