when do you cancel DD after first or last issue? i might get one when website will be working ok...
tia
You cancel after the first 5 quid payment comes out. I usually wait a few days, as I had read something about how you need to make sure it's gone through (which is probably nuts, as soon as it shows as gone it is probably out, but I don't want to accidentally manage to cancel the initial payment).
Anyhoo, just go online to your bank and cancel after the 5 quid comes out. They won't take more -- you can even check your account online once you get your first issue with its subscriber number, and online it will state that the subscription is scheduled to cancel once you've received the last issue (I did a deal like this earlier this year with a BBC mag).0 -
Thanks but it gives me a choice of a £19 option or £81 and there is no promotional code box (unless i click on the renewals tab and as I am a new customer, I don't have an account to log into there, so can't do that.)
I am honestly not normally this clueless! :-)
I was a bit stumped by this as well until I saw it.
When you go to the magazine page you will see the direct debit options (6 months, 12 months etc). You need to scroll down on that page (BEFORE adding it to your basket) and in small black text at the bottom of the page is the promotional code box for you to enter the code into.0 -

I couldn't even call up the mag, all the pages were coming up blank last night but the "all mags" link is working now... It's slow going though and I can't click on the quick links, they just take me to a broken page...How do you mean? This offer goes on until the end of the month and is open to all.
Are you 1. calling up your mag then 2. inputting the code in the promotional box?
BBC want to recruit new subscribers then hope you like it enough to stay or just forget to cancel the DD, so they don't make it difficult to sign up
But I have got the toddler 5 issues of Cbeebies magazine for a fiver, pleased with that
