Credit File Clean Up After a DRO
I would like to start rebuilding my credit score but have applied for Capital One and Vanquis and been refused.
I have got my 3 £2 statutory credit reports, and they show many of my debts which were included in the DRO are still defaulted or active. I am also still receiving some statements and new cards from 'dead' debts that were included in the DRO.
Also, I was discharged from my DRO on 27/10/10, but one of the creditors marked my account as satisfied only on 1/4/11.
How do I get my other creditors to update my credit files to mark them as settled, and is it worth getting the 1 that is settled with the wrong date to correct it?

I have previously read the letter template here: forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=7834441&postcount=2 (removed http:// as I'm not allowed to post links)
But a DRO does not give a discharge notice? - I have asked one of my lenders on the phone to close my account, but they said I need to send them a copy of my discharge notice? - I don't have one?0 -
Just adjust the letter to suit whatever proof you have of the DRO and it's completion.
