hi all just had a refund from MBNA for £3478 , downside a claims company done it for me so they have 25% still getting £2436 thATS sorted me overdraft with cash to spare :j
got 4 more claims on the go which iam doing myself thanks to this site so fingers crossed

Well done great to hear MBNA getting there act together I have two cc pending with them gonna call on mon if not heard re one of them as got a letter saying decision in 21days that was about 28 days ago fingers crossed will keep u all posted
Was yours from a loan or cc I don't know how they work out what your owed so not sure what figure I would be expectingBelieve you can win and you shall win !!!

Well done! Most claims companies charge VAT on top of the 25% so please check before spending your money, like me you might lose 45% of the refund. Intend to do it myself for my next claim.0

The VAT only applies to the claims company fee, not the entire refund.
25% + VAT = 30% in total. 20% + VAT = 24% in total.
The VAT goes to from the bank or lender, to the goverment. At a time when libraries are closing down, I'm sure Mr Cameron will be greatful! The figures quoted by daz c include VAT.0 -
