    Theres a secret to school pink custard as it wasn't custard at all it was strawberry/raspberry blancmange that was served still hot.I serve this to my kids and they love it

    I must have been lucky - the custard we had at school was luuuuverley. No lumps, no skin. Just lots of golden runny, frothy deliciousness.

    I thought they just added food colouring!

    My Nan used to make a white sauce, add sugar and colouring if she didn't have eggs, but I guess that's effectively what Birds custard is anyway?

    Add cresta milkshake syrup to cornflour and milk. Boil its up....yummy tubbycustard (used to make it for my kids and they loved teletubbies) or pink custard to you and me!!!
