Thanks for that. I deleted Symantec folder (which contained Live UpDate files etc), but can't delete C:\6765a4ffb3c55f279306f281b87ce8d5, even in safemode. I get the error message

cannot delete filterpipeprintproc.dll; access is denied.
make sure the disk is not fully or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

This is entirely upto you. But id recommend completely removing all NORTON entries as its more than likely conflicting with Avast
Use the Norton removal tool if you decide to go this route

Id also recomemnd uninstalling all IOBIT programs. if it removes something it shouldnt you could end up with an unbootable computer. Use ccleaner, its far safer, and Defraggler for defragging (not that it would make any difference in modern computers)

Click context menu, menu operations and you can add take ownership for file and or directories

Click the system icon in customisation, click advanced and you can set install - repair - remove in safe mode and safe mode with networking
