How long for Santander credit card application to be processed??

Hi there

I submitted an application online for a Santander credit card on Weds evening and just wondered if anybody knew how long it usually takes for a decision please?

Usually all card lenders need between 7 -10 days unless it's an instant acceptance.....

I would call them and they'll put you out of your misery one way or another.

When I applied for mine it took 5 weeks to get the card!! That was about 2 years ago, but they are not the most efficient bunch!

Mine was instant decision & they wrote to me/sent me the credit agreement quite soon. You might receive it in tomorrow's post. If not I would give them a tinkle.

It took around 5 working days and once I signed and returned the credit agreement, it took less than a week for the card/PIN to arrive.

I'm still waiting for my partner's card on a joint application after 18 months. Repeated phone calls and visits to the local branch produced lots of apologies and even some financial compensation but still no card!
