    Thanks, seems a bit much just for my kitchen sink! Will it not affect all the other flats and am I even allowed to do that?

    This might be a bit obvious but........
    Never mind the stop tap have you looked under the sink / basin to make sure that there are no in line stop valves on the copper pipe ???
