How do i get a full council tax review for past 2 years?

Could I please ask for advice on how (or if) we can get a full review done on our last 2 years Council Tax bills?
Reason I ask is I am not convinced that our bills for the last 2 years have been accurately calculated as I had a period of unemployment last year yet was still paying the full amount (while supplying all docs requested etc) despite putting a claim in and this year we’ve been sent a bill for an apparent overpayment in benefit and on a separate occasion a recent reminder for a payment due but when we called to query it were told we are completely up to date!All this after being issued a small refund for last year!
The advisor could not offer an explanation as to how the reminder letter was generated.
Wot a mess!
I think our account is in a mess and think that a full review is the only way to finally if any over or underpayment has been made.
We are completely up to date with payments but would appreciate advice on how we can get a full 2 year investigation done?

The only way to do so would be contact the Benefit section at the council and ask for a full breakdown.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
