Taking a couple of painkillers before hand especially if your going for a wax or threading helps a lot too:)

I am so intrigued by this *threading* but can't find anywhere locally that does it. Maybe I should try a bit harder. Do you have to leave your brows a while so there's lots to work with - like leg waxing?

Not as long as in between waxes its so precise it catches even small hairs but it does hurt, it should be fairly widely available if you live in a non rural area and cost between £5-£10 but if like me your in the sticks prepare to travel and pay extra as with all beauty procedures its success is mainly down to the skill of the beautician so try to watch a few doing it and see if you like the shape before you take the plunge:)
Thank you for this site Martin

  • hot opens poors, ice cube numbs mine and i find it works but i agree its not for everyone.

there is a product out that incorages lash and eyebrow hair growth (marketed for people wanting longer lashes. i found i work it helped grow and re nourish the eyebrows. doesnt darken.

    its not cheap (47£)
its called rapid lash. sold in boots.
I do personally vouch for this product. (theres a lot of "grow longer mascaras" out there that are phoooey...)

alternativly prestige (also in boots) has a new brow kit complete with brow stencils, tweezers and two tone brow powder +brush to help recreate brow/fill them in.
very similar to browzings from benefit but a)cheaper b)no wax just powders.

hair removal cream near your eyes just sounds scary! shaving I have seen what this does.

I agree that an initial treat of a salon job and then home upkeep helps create the right brown arch for your face shape.

    :)
