Those nice folk from BT offered me £3 per month unlimited weekend and evening calls earlier in the year which I accepted.

I just checked my latest bill had have been charged (past and future) £5.53. This turns out to be unlimited anytime, however apart from being the wrong tariff it should then only have been at £4.47!

The explanation was that someone had failed to put put through an order correctly.

I know all MSE folk check their bills, but my 92 year old mother soedn't!!

    Hi

    I just checked my bill and I was overcharged £9.00 for two calls to 020 numbers. Reckon they'll refund it when I receive my next bill in September. Will be checking to ensure I am refunded.

    Aren't BT great.:rotfl::rotfl:

    You make non-inclusive calls on BT?

    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
