Surely a crime has been committed though?
If someone is using photo's without permission, and your daughter owns the copyright to those photos, then its copyright theft.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
[/greenhighlight][redtitle]
The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
Ah, the joys that Facebook has brought us...:cool:0

It would be ironic if she met a nice young man you approved of through all this
Hope you sort it, don't doubt it'll make you worry. Probably some jealous girl she knows in person. Alternatively, her identity was just chosen at random for some phishing attacks such as described in this thread:

Be good if you could see a history of account name changes in facebook, rather like how you can on eBay (sometimes quite revealing!).
I absolutely agree with you - before my daughter blocked her she saw that she had changed her profile picture twice before.0 -
Well if she's still friends with this person, then you'd see her in the Friends list.
My daughter has blocked this person now - but she's worried that this person might be stalking her? I actually have 3 daughters and she is using the youngest daughter's photos as her with my other 2 daughters as friends. She has her university the same as my eldest daughters altough she has her year of birth as 1992??0 -
The police are wrong that it isn't a crime.
For starters, refer them to:
The Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

Not to mention s.127(2) Communications Act 2003

Are you sure its not your daughter? I know quite a few young ladies who have multiple profiles to hide their flirting antics from their parents or college friends :rotfl:0

Facebook does not have to take any notice of non-US law enforcement agencies. However, I know from my son's recent dealings with Facebook that they do take this seriously and will investigate it before removing the account (or rather putting it into 'suspended' status as it is not possible to actually remove an account on F/B).Never Knowingly Understood.
