What happens if the reason for illness covers both jobs? Chicken Pox won't apply to one job only. Nervous debilitation would also apply to both jobs.

Coming up with a scenario where you imagine it would be alright, and working on the facts, are two different things.
Giving the 'all clear' like yourself and the prior post could land someone in deep water.

I would suggest that if you are working one and a half jobs then you are possibly tired and run down, and less able to deal with the nastiness in job 2 than you would have been. It may be useful to arrange a holiday from both jobs to recharge your batteries a bit?

But long term, if job 2 is the problem, and you do need the money, then you should start looking elsewhere.
