From CC to bank account?

I have a couple of grand limit on my card and partner has about the same on their card.

Is it possible to put a couple of grand in my bank account from my CC, then in about a months time (before interest due) pay it off with partners card? By the time payments due hope to have cleared it from earnings?

i want some advice on this as i need a short term loan n dont have it built up on my normal card
  • Without getting a credit card that allows you to 'Balance Transfer' from a current account it wouldnt be cheap. You would have to pay a fee to make cash withdrawals and put the cash in the account where you need the money. The second part works fine, but it would be helpful to transfer to a 0% on BTs card.

FYI, Halifax currently offer a CC that has no fee on Cash Advances (withdrawals) which would make the process a lot cheaper. (You would still need to pay the interest on the balance in the time before your partner transfers it to their card).

If you provide more details of which cards you will be using I might be able to come up with a better suggestion :)
