What's eating my strawberries?

Whats eating my strawberries. Have quite a few plants jotted around the garden but i can never seem to get any to full ripeness. Theyre always eaten before they do! ANy solutions?

    thanks for help. I dont think its birds but i will net them now. Some not all are raised above ground and ive put hay underneath them so am thinking at must be smaller "bugs" rather than slugs although they eat everything else in my garden!!

    Ill try the nets and see how i get on

    Snails had several of mine this morning......I know it was them as I picked them off and relocated them in the park at the back.

    Can we go back to dry weather in the south east please......I thought the slugs and snails had all died in the cold winter but it would seem not.

  • Having same problem - woodlice are our culprit. I agree with the straw suggestion, has seemed to help ours.

    Presume the CDs on strings would deter pests of the flying variety....!?
