Santander to HSBC bank transfer time?

My dad is going to transfer (not online, over the phone or via his branch) £2,850 from his Santander account to my HSBC account. Any idea how long it will take to reach my account? Just heard that Santander are a little slower compared to other banks...

    It will go via BACS, which takes three working days. First day it leaves his account, second is in transit, third it hits your account.

    So if he sends it before close of business on Tuesday it arrives on Thursday, Wednesday - Friday, Thursday - Monday, Friday - Tuesday. Weekends and Mondays arrive on Wednesday.
