Hi,
I noticed that Aldi are selling a Traveler Digital Video Camera from Thursday.
Coincidentally, I am looking to buy a Digital Video Camera , and was wondering if anyone has seen or used one of the Aldi models before? (I think it may be produced by Minolta)/
I only need it for very basic videoing (i.e. family events, holidays), so in theory, it looks as if it could be fine for my needs.
In addition, it comes with 64mb internal memory - how much footage would this allow me to shoot?
Thanks.

You probably won't get much footage from your 64mb but it will depend on the quality you set the footage so the higher the quality the less footage you will get so if you sacrafice on footage quality you will get longer recording time
I have a digital video camera with a 1gd SD card and on decent quality I get around 3 hours recording time but if I set it to the highest setting you get upto 1.5 hours recording time
You will need to purchase a memory card for bigger recording time, if the camera takes an SD card then their is a thread on the forum for Amazon as they are selling a 1gb SD card for just over £50 -
A quick update having read other posts on the forum about this camera.
It appears to be a traveler DV5040 model, for which more information is available at https://www.traveler-service.com

I have been playing with this camera and trying to get it to run as a webcam, but my Windows XP will not let it play... it says that it is not signed in the right places.... Can anyone assist?
