Repair cracked iPod Touch screen

One of my boys was holding his iPod touch 4G 32GB and the other decided to throw a kick at him, resulting in the iPod falling on the ground and the screen glass breaking.
The display underneath seems fine - it lights up with no bleeding, and the touch screen works, so I think it's just the front glass.
Any recommendations for repair and indications of pricing?
(Thanks!)

How old is it? If it's still within warranty, try taking it to an Apple shop and explaining what happened. They sometimes will replace/repair for free even if there was no fault with the device. If they won't do it for free, it'll cost £126.44 according to http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/prices/
It might be possible to get it repaired for cheaper elsewhere.
Back up the iPod first though, in case they do offer to replace for free.0 -

If you're techy enough you can actually replace the glass yourself.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0

Hmm - I've been told that the iPod 4 requires the glass and LCD replaced as they come as a single item.0

I got quoted just over that from apple for ours.0 -
This happened to my son a couple of weeks ago. Apple told me they do not replace the screen and that it is a complete unit. I made an appointment at the genius bar and was told that they would replace the ipod with a new one for £80. When I got chatting to the assistant about it, she gave me a new ipod touch for free. She took the old one off me. Make sure that you download all your "stuff" first.0

Well we had a result - went to the Apple store and explained the backgound, and they said it would be £120 to replace it, which is about half of a new one; after a bit more explanation and asking if they could do anything at all more on that, they agreed to replace it for free.
We did buy a better case for it, for £30.0
