Local land charges

Hi
Received my conveyancing searches from the solicitor today in the post, he has indicated everything seems "in order"
In the local land charges search, the only entry is for 36 flats near to the place I am looking to buy, but the planning decision was issued about 30 years ago.
What does this mean exactly? Does this mean they are the only issues "outstanding"? These flats don't exist.
I'll call him tomorrow but he's not the most talkative and it makes me edgy when I'm the one trying to make the conversation all the time
Thanks!

Just because there was a planing permission doesn't mean that the flats were built.
The search will record planning decisions relating to the land being searched against (and sometimes because the Council tries to simplify their workload, nearby land). If the flats were not built then this is simply a typical piece of interesting information that is probably no more than that. Unlikely to be a reason to concern yourselves.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0
