Any money made during the trial period is put into the bank. If you need to use they money to buy something for your business you have to have the cheque counter signed by your advisor that is helping you set up the business, which is way you are limited to Barclays or HSBC and maybe a couple of others. You cannot use the money for wages. During this time you would still get your unemplyment benefit.Petmidget wrote:During this time, i cannot use any income which is generated to live on
Out of interest what do you do with it then, spend it on beer??
We currently claim WTC,CTC and get Council Tax benefit and my husband is self employed. It is just coming to the end of our 3rd year of trading and we have made a very small profit for the first time. We are up to our necks in debt but hopefully will be able to claw our way out very soon!
The main reason for the debt is we started the business from scratch without any other financial help as there was none available to us. The Chamber of Commerce were no help either in advice or finance. We didn't qualify for any grants and a loan was a no no as we had no other money etc. It is a real struggle, I'm sick of juggling money but hopefully we can get straight in the near future!0 -
very interesting reading, but it appears the goveernment , for all its spouting, doesn't really want to help highly motivated people who want to further themselves but is happy to spend millions chasing the habitually unemployed of 6 years or more by "threatening" to stop their benefits.....why threaten...just stop it and help finance those who really want to work and go it themselves.I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0
