i had home insurance with premium search, and cancelled when renewal came up, and went with barclays (match offer with £50 cash back).
now premium search have said the account was never cancelled, and are threatening to charge me a full year to cancel.
ive cancelled my direct debit, and told them to get lost.
theyve asked me to send proof of alternative cover (which ive done recorded delivery) and theyll look into it. they also warned me not to ignore the request for payment in 14 days.
im guessing there advisor didnt cancel when i rang, but surely they just cant carry on another year contract if ive not signed the renewal form??
any advice appreciated guys!

Have you got any cancellation numbers, confirmation or a record of when you rang to cancel etc?
You might be aswell getting some advice from either your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Consumer Direct who may be able to advice you. However I guess its going to come down to your word against theirs
