If you buy computeractive magazine they are always recommending Lidl and Aldi pc's they are good machines backed up by a 3year warranty and made with good insides like sony samsung etc.
my friend has had 2 and they have always been fault free any problems he did have he rang the freephone number and the issues were sorted out straight away

    Hi Paul,

I've got a Targa PC myself (from LIDL), which I bought 23 months ago (my 2 year guarantee is nearly up, gulp)!

Obviously you can't make a judgement on the quality of a product with just one person's opinion, but, I've had this repaired 4 times. RAM replaced, new hard disk (the last one failed after making "clicking" noises since I took it out the box, which in my naivety I didn't realise was a fault), new power supply, and 2 weeks ago, a new fan. Phew!

BUT, their customer service is great, I always had the repairman out within 3 days (who now knows me by name)..

I quite fancy the Targa 3400+ myself, though the lack of on-site support puts me off somewhat..

And, another thing, as mentioned above, the Targa number is a freephone one, which is brilliant. They've always been very helpful.

Good to know that the helpline is a freefone number. However I once bought something from LIDL (cannot remember what it was) and when I saw the freefone number it was unobtainable! I queried this with LIDL and they gave me a geographical number instead. They seemed quite helpful

I have also seen a LIDL store put faulty goods out for sale again - but that stopped after I contacted Trading Standards!

Must admit that I do not go to LIDL now as they allow kids to play on skateboards right next to to disabled bays. I told the shop manager but he did nothing. I also wrote to area office but they were not interested - so they lost my custom.
