Cut cover to a minimum. Buy a worthless, junk heap, small engined car. Avoid anything popular, something really dweeby would be ideal. Go on advanced driving courses (try AIM). Nobody can say, because we don't know your age, where you live, what sort of car you have, how long you have been driving etc.
Posts on here can be misleading, because someone will say they have paid £2k for a 17yr old on a fiesta. However they don't add that they live in the lowest rated area in the UK, both parents in their 50's are added to the policy and insurers have done a special deal because the family has all 4 cars and their house with the same company!
Would suggest that you speak to a good motor broker (not Swintons as according to posts on here they are not very good) and get them to research the market for you. Brokers often have access to places like the Lloyds syndicates which the public cannot access directly. Also try ringing the Co-op, NFU and Aviva because they don't use the aggregators.0

You will need to speak to a broker or contact some of the other insurers mentioned. I have no idea how Kent is rated and it will depend where in Kent you are based as to what you are quoted.0
