I keep getting texts~'you could claim £20,00 compensation'. Text this number?

Yeah, then they ask you to text a number to stop messages. I want to stop getting the messages but wont they charge me for communicating with them? Also, why should I stop something I never started or subscribed to in the first place?

It's just spam. delete it and carry on with your day :)

What number is it coming from?
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

If they get a response they know the number is live and it will be sold on. Just delete them.

I got one the other day on an old phone. It refers to an accident they claim I've had. I've not had such an accident.

The claims companies spam mobile phones with texts & landlines with automatic voice recordings in the hope that they will get some bites on the hook.
