At what point is a job offer legal?

If you are moving from JSA back in to work and you turn-down the job, you could well find yourself sanctioned. Especially if you found the job via 'Direct.gov'.
Am not on JSA as have been working up until end of March 2011 when my fixed term contract ended.
As said above my intention is not to mislead any company and why take on a job knowing you can not fulfill their initial requirements. I have always been taught not to accept if you can not fulfill and make employer aware of any discrepancies.
Ad agency has been running for 15 yrs now and has no other offices.

I have to make a decision by tomorrow morning as to whether or not to go ahead with this job. Not sure yet as now unsure whether they will stich me up and request I work late where it is not possible.
In all my jobs to date I have been flexible and put in more than 100% - maybe I am used to the public sector bubble!!
Seriously, in this climate you would give up the offer of a job for the sake of £110?If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

As you've had the interview and got to the job offer, can't you call your future employer and explain it to them? After all the agency only wants their fee.0

£110 isn't a reason to turn down a full time job, compared to the salary you'll earn; it's only the equivalent of a day or two's pay!0

I'm sure the OP and everybody else is well aware of that!
I imagine the real concern is that the job does not offer the OP sufficient flexibility to look after their children and the £110 of swimming lessons is just the first example.0 -
To me it seems a very minor reason to throw a job offer away.
Surely it makes more sense to speak to the swimming people about coming to an arrangement to change the lessons than trying to dictate to your new work over which hours you can and cant do.Cover me in honey and fling me to the hermaphrodites!0 -

if you quilified then you have throw away more than £110 by not claiming.0 -

Agree with this. May be wise to check all details first as you may just be storing up trouble for the future if you cannot meet their needs.Sometimes it seems that just when I think I have reached rock bottom, someone hands me a shovel.0
