Fitted wardrobes

Hope I can explain my problem - just moved into a bungalow with fitted wardrobe - 3 sliding doors. Trouble is the runners top and bottom (metal) look worn but the problem is one door when sliding back and forth wacks the middle door. I have noticed the edging of this door (the reveal?) which is causing the problem does not sit flush against the door and the bottom runner end and with the continued scrapping over the years has bent it back a bit.
I have been looking on the internet and can see I can replace the top and bottom runners which would be nice but not 100% necessary at the moment but do need to buy/replace the door edging/trim to tidy it up and stop further damage - but where can I buy this from? Although I am not a lover of fitted wardrobes these do have particularly nice etched glass fronts so would like to renovate them.
I am also wondering if I could maybe paint the metal runners - thinking that if the doors were position correctly they would not rub the paint off? Any thoughts/advice would be welcome.

We are having the same problem so I will watch this thread.0 -
Before you spend any money...
Does it look like the runners have been forced/moved? If so you might be able to slacken the screws slightly and push it back into place.
Clean the runners with a toothbrush and some WD40. The run will be much smoother.
Can the door strip not be glued back into place, just tape it till the glue dries, is it worth a try?
Might be better with a photo if you can...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

there maybe a bit missing here.
most doors have a rubber bump stop fitted to stop the doors bashing into each other.Get some gorm.0 -
Could try using some PTFE spray on the runners. Should loosen them up alot, but if they're in a bad way then replace them.0

Thank you all for your responses. Will oil and try and make adjustments. There are no buffers to stop the doors from banging into each other - could try getting some, will check out the websites listed. Yes, painting will look naff! I will get my son to help me get the offending door off and I will check and see if it is possible to slide off the reveal which I will then hopefully be able to bend back to the original shape with the aid of clamps and slide it back on? There are no screws visible so I am hopeful the reveal trim slides on.,,,,,,,if all the above fails will try and upload a photo for you to see.
Thank youSallyD0
