Should i bother paying off debts??

I ask because Lloyds defaulted me about a 2 years ago and Ive not been able to obtain credit anywhere because of it (and its all their own charges and they refused my case of financial hardship)

I've got a loan and overdraft facility with another bank and have been paying them off without problems but they refuse to give me anymore credit either, just tried to obtain a credit card from another bank (also had no problems with them and pay my income to them) but they refused me too (credit scoring)

SO if I'm constantly being refused DESPITE paying off all my other bills WHY should I bother continuing if it isnt helping my credit score?

I cant believe one default can override the fact I've paid off all my other bills and not missed any payments with my current ones...not fair.

Because if you don't pay off your other bills it's only going to make your credit score worse. Also are you sure that the one default is why you are being turned down, it can be based on a lot of factors such as current commitments and lending to earnings ratio.
