problem with cash machine inside Santander

Options
They have installed a new cash machine its called Colin its quite advanced but there always seems to be problems with it. Today i used it there was no note to say it wasnt working. I payed in some notes but instead of confirming and giving me a receipt it broke down and froze and said out of action.

I told a mos who took the details she said the money had not been registered but they would give me a ring in the morning when the machine was opened and the notes were counted. She said it was on a time delay so i would have to wait.

I didnt take her name and now i feel quite anxious what if they dont ring or try to deny i put the money in. Why do these machines have to break down.

Another problem to solve anyone else had this or can advise me?

    That's Santander for you.

I also don't use any machine to pay in, I don't pay in often but when I do I go to the desk to avoid this problem.

i will in future. They should make sure the machines are working properly it only creates more mess for the staff? Will i get the money ok?

They will count the machine and there will be more cash than there should be.

    morel of this story.

    1. Pay in at the bank counter.
    2. Pay in at the Post Office Counter.
    3. Switch to another bank!

Surely their customer service would be better if they got things right first time?
