Should i open a paypal dispute

I bought some items from a online store and the items haven't turned up after 8 days and royal mail tracking keeps saying come back later, so i have contacted the company and they have said they will contact royal mail, so as this was 3 days ago i have sent them a message but they just ain't replying to me so i was wondering if i should open a dispute or should i give them a few days longer.

if it has been over 6-7 working days then i would open a claim.

    You're not doing well recently.
Open a paypal dispute, you'll get an answer then hopefully.

edit - How did you get the tracking number, if you contacted the company after you checked the tracking status?

I have opened a dispute and the company have now replied saying i need to wait 15 days as royal mail don't class a item lost until 15 days. So does this mean 15 working days or 15 normal days.

That's a guaranteed way to get most people to escalate the claim asap.

You don't have to wait 15 days to escalate the PayPal dispute into a claim.

If you want to give it a bit more time, I would consider 15 days from payment more than ample for the item to turn up.

I escalated the paypal claim and the seller provided the tracking number so paypal said they will contact me with any developments or if we require additional information from me by 13th of july, now today i've had a email from paypal saying we are writing to let you know that we requested additional information from the seller about this case and we'll contact you with any developments or if we require additional information from you by 8 july. So i would like to know what more information would they want off the seller as the item is still not showing on royal mail website as delivered.
