We wanted to buy some appliances recently, but staff were busy and sale ended.

MFI and any other shop have to have sold an item for a minimum of 28 days, before they can advertise a different price as a sale price.

Christmas, I assume is pretty quiet for MFI. I have over £1,000, can't wait to spend it!!!
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷

    Hi there,

I'm in a similar position to the OP so was pleased to read that the MFI sale should start Boxing Day.

My question is how do I convert my Tesco vouchers to MFI ones and have I left it too late to be able to use them on Boxing Day?

Also, I'm not sure how many I'll need- once you convert them, can you change them back to Tesco ones or are you stuck with the MFI vouchers?

Does anyone know whether/what the minimum spend is to use the vouchers?

    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards

If you want to use Tesco vouchers apply online now as I fell for the mistake of thinking you printed them offline (and therefore missed the last sale). Go into the clubcard section and order them and they should be posted to you within a couple of days. You'll get the equivalent of £4 to £1 clubcard vouchers, and yes you can change them back if you don't use them (I have already checked)

I read somewhere that an idea is to pay the deposit on goods in MFI in cash. Then when you get the Tesco cc vouchers ask for the deposit to be refunded then pay with the Tesco vouchers. I suppose that would depend if the store would do that but I think you have a certain time to get your deposit back.

  • Is this true? I remember there was a rumour about a year ago that Clubcard deals and MFI were coming to an end it ended up being false,I hope this is the case again, anyone any info on this as Im currently collecting for a new hard wood floor
    Question 2
can you redeem your current clubcard points from this quater due in February or can you only reddeem them when you get them in the post?

I vaguely remember reading (might have been on MSE) that MFI and Tesco are discontinuing their partnership by end of March. I think it said orders by MFI taken only until end of January. I may be wrong and don't want to scare anyone with this info.

You have to have vouchers in hand for the deals (ie couldn't use Feb ones as you don't have them rangers fc).

Maybe do as post above and pay a deposit and then pay with cc vouchers when you get them.

You'll have to make sure the partnership with MFI doesn't end in the meantime though.

Does anyone have any definite info about MFI and Tesco ?

Yes definatly finishing according to tesco web site. See below. Also noticed minimum order has gone up from 1 March, so will next mailing of coupons be before this date?

  • ok thankyou for the relevant information looks like my February statement will be my last clubcard deals in MFI

    this adds a second question
say I order my deal in MFI in mid Feburary but collect in mid march, how does this stand within the £250 or £500 bracket as £500 is going to be rather hard to attain as I have only £13 x 4 + £20 x 4 in statement coming?

    help:eek:
  • If you paid the whole amount in march at the time you order i guess you would be ok for over £250 limit because the last time we ordered from MFI we had to wait three weeks for delivery anyway
I don't see why they would say no if you asked for a delivery 4 weeks after date paid

Do you have to pay the full amount in Tesco Deal vouchers (ie the £250/£500) or can it be a mix of vouchers and money? I don't have enough vouchers to make up to £250.

You can pay in a mixture of cash and deals. If you have lots of deals vouchers, don't let them persuade you to leave a big cash deposit.

I know someone mentioned paying a cash deposit, then asking for that to be returned, so you can then pay the full amount in vouchers. I bought some stuff from MFI and paid a cash deposit. When I came to pay the final amount, my vouchers were £14 too much. I knew you couldn't get a refund on overpayment by vouchers, so I asked if they would give me a £14 refund on the deposit. But they said no. So, I'm not sure the idea would really work.
