Hopping someone out there might have some insider info. Hubby has spent last couple of weeks putting in new kitchen for me. I have enough MFI/Tesco vouchers in my hand to buy new cooker and extractor. However price has increased by £300 and £90. Now although I have the vouchers, I am a MS wannabe so am a bit reluctant to purchase at the moment.
I have looked on the website and the current offer runs out on the 20th, local store very unhelpful say they dont know which I know is not true.
Is the deal likley to change and does anyone know when the sale will start.?
Regards and thanks to anyone who knows

I would have thought the sale would start on Boxing Day, they have probably put the prices up ready to lower them again so they can be put in the "sale"
If i remember correctly MFI closes a few days before xmas anyway0 -
Pretty sure the sale will start on Boxing day and would imagine that business in MFI at the moment must be non existant. I mean 99% of the UK population must know not to buy anything from MFI when theres not a sale on. I am in the same position as the OP. Have £300 of Tesco MFI vouchers in hand ready for boxing day to hopefully buy new dining room table and a couple of stools for kitchen. Missed out on buying these when there sale ended in November when the vouchers turned up a day after the sale ended. Also most amused to see the example the dining room table basically double in price, ready for the sale......0

An MFI manager said they had put the prices up before they 'brought them down ' for the sale! Apparently perfecty legal.
All prices now more than doubled.
He said there would be 'colossal bargains' on Boxing day. I guess prices will be the same as before they doubled them.
What a racket to make you think you're getting a bargain.
Only bargain is buying with Tesco vouchers at half price in the sale.0 -
Visited MFI last week and salesman comfirmed the prices had been increased for 28 days prior to Sale starting on Boxing Day. Also, MFI Tesco deals vouches being discontinued in March, I believe.0

Thanks everybody, would only ever buy from MFI if it was in a sale and I was using Tesco vouchers. I have £2800 worth to spend so its great, like Monopoly money. I will be away for a week at christmas so will have to find a nearby MFI.CUT OFF DATE FOR XMAS 2008 1st NOVPB £17.87, Ipoints 3907, QUIDCO £217.94,SHOP&SCAN 1950, LITESPEED 1265,PINECONE £8,BOOTS £18.62, IPSOS 1190, VALUED OPINIONS £19.25,MISC SURVEYS CLICK THROUGH ACCS ETC £23,0

Last year just before xmas we went to buy a new kitchen with the brochure in hand that had juast expired. The prices in shop were so high we asked why. They said they have to have so many days in a year with high prices so they can use those prices when quoting sale price. She said not many people want to buy a new kitchen just before xmas, thats why they use that period. She said they could take our order and as soon as they were reduced they would input the order to get the sale price and phone us.0

Hi there,
I'm in a similar position to the OP so was pleased to read that the MFI sale should start Boxing Day.
My question is how do I convert my Tesco vouchers to MFI ones and have I left it too late to be able to use them on Boxing Day?
Also, I'm not sure how many I'll need- once you convert them, can you change them back to Tesco ones or are you stuck with the MFI vouchers?
Does anyone know whether/what the minimum spend is to use the vouchers?
Many thanks in advance.
